Prospect April 7th Prospect reports

Hilights today were LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH, RUSTY BLACKBIRD and lingering WHITE WINGED CROSSBILLS. Continuing early spring migrants; yesterday's COMMON REDPOLL, PINE SISKIN and foy NORTHERN ROUGH WINGED SWALLOWS

And word of need for birders;

Please pick up any discarded fishing line and place in a trash can or in bag  or carry out if you can to protect our waterbirds. I was given a report that the drake Red Breasted Merganser was seen with fishing line around its neck.Some Fisherman are careless and inconsiderate with park rules so its up to us to take care of the problem of discarded dangerous fishing line. Thanks

The distressed bird will be reported to the appropriate rescuers. By the way on the side menu of my blog look for Rehabbers and rescuers for contact numbers

Yesterday 's reports

Rob Bate

Besides the Rusty Blackbird you put us on to, I had three species of swallows today.  One Barn Swallow and a few Tree Swallows over the lake, and two Northern Rough-winged Swallows joining perhaps ten Tree Swallows in the air around Terrace Bridge.
