I am writing from Film Forum regarding TOKYO WAKA: A CITY POEM, a poetic documentary on the 20,000 crows that live in Tokyo, omnivores who feast on bread, mayonnaise, noodles and anything else they can scavenge. The film’s subject is equally the beauty of this great city, and both the birds and their environment are treated with a sophisticated combination of humor, respect, and awe. The film premieres at Film Forum on August 28.
