In about 2 hours in Green-wood Cemetery this morning I saw or heard the following:

Rock dove
Blue jay
Monk parakeet
Northern flicker
Chimney swift
European starling
Song sparrow
Northern cardinal
Chipping sparrow
Northern mockingbird
Great egret
House sparrow
Belted kingfisher
Herring gull
Red-bellied woodpecker
Green heron
Osprey (with fish)
Canada goose
Yellow warbler

Hi Peter-
I got busy and did not report this but Monday I was in the park for a bird walk after a long hiatus (just too hot) and on the way in from Grand Army Plaza on the path I saw a chipping sparrow feeding a juvenile near the crabapple tree on the road side. Do we typically get chipping sparrows breeding in the park?

The First Sunday of August Early Morning Bird Walk is scheduled for this weekend.   Meet at the Boathouse at 8 on Sunday, August 4.  Phil Malek has volunteered to lead the walk.
