- Comments: "Female. Flash of white caught my eye, was able to get a brief but clear look when bird perched about 10-12 ft up on bare branch. About the size of a hermit thrush, but chunky. Massive grosbeak bill. Drab grayish with black wings and bold white wing patches. "
