VATH and PABU Update

The Varied Thrush (VATH) was reported this morning around 930 perched in the Osage Orange Tree at Nethermead's northeast corner, the tree with the horizontal iron bar. After that appearance as far as i know, it disappeared. Multiple Observers are there looking so there shouldnt be any trouble looking for the bird.

The Painted Bunting continues its residency, an early morning sighting between Pier 4 and 5 at Brooklyn Bridge Park. Also in the park, very early before it departed around 7:10, the Black headed gull perched on the Pier 1 pilings, before heading towards Governors Island.

- Comments: "First seen foraging in tall brown grasses on the small knoll along the path before flying over to a tree branch. Similar size to nearby Song Sparrows. Bright green appearance overall with yellow-green throat, chest and belly; green head with a faint eye-ring and finch like bill for eating seeds; wings not as green as the body. Photos to follow."
