One poor lonely drake Wood Duck stood alone in Prospect Lake center where the only water was exposed. The other ducks, mostly Shovelers stayed on the opposite side from the Woodie.
Spread out before the tight flock dispersed from early morning, over 360 Canada Geese dominated the ice covered lake. Near the west shore, a pair of American Wigeon waddled between the geese , among them two banded Canada geese, which reminds me to submit the tags.
