A chatty day

Todays highlight is the Yellow breasted Chat. This furtive despite its large songbird size species was spottes twice in different locations. Besides the chat, another secretive species a true warbler continues today.

The first sighting of Chat occurred in Prospect. Forest Wickman reported it on the south side of the Lull water cove, just down from the broken platform. In along the water edge with dense foliage this Chat mingled with other birds.

Head over to Greenwood Cemetery for the second Chat. This report puts the bird just north of the Crescent water by the Morse crypt.

Meanwhile in neighboring Dellwater, the Connecticut warbler continues ,seen inside the Dellwater weeds ( the drip side).

A new sighting Connecticut was reported at Brooklyn Bridge Park on Pier one, giving fleeting looks true to its skulky nature in the habitat there.
