- Comments: "Juvenile. I was investigating a flock of warblers, vireos, and nuthatches on the NE side of Crescent Water, when I saw a woodpecker around the size of a RBWO fly right over me heading across Crescent. Putting my binos up, I noted the prominent white patches on the otherwise black wings and I instantly recognised it (besides being distinctive, I have seen lots of RHWO before). It landed on a bare branch on the top of a tree on the other side of Crescent Water and I was able to get some bad ID photos. Later re-found by others."
