Good birds are the antidote for a dreary day and if the birder is patient they might find something good .
Let's give Greenwood Cemetery first crack. A Rusty Black bird might still highly prizes as one was found at Dell water. A Vesper Sparrow is worth pursuing as one seen with Chipping Sparrows hung around the Summit Path. But a top prize occurred at Janet's Wildflowers meadow at Valley Water northwest border with a surprise Wilson's Snipe that flushed. If course if you like seeing the bird the Red Headed Woodpecker sticks to its abode at Hemlock Ave west of Battle Ave
To our favorite park for locals Prospect pulls through with more Rusty Blackbirds and Louisiana Waterthrushes. 3 each of both species were recorded, with Rusty in the same spot at Upper Pool; the Waterthrushes were scattered: the Esdale Bridge, The Ravine farther down from the bridge and last in Lily Pool.
