Go fly a kite ? Mega over Guv island plus other things

Today a report from Mary Beth drew up a SWALLOW TAILED KITE over Governors Island. Now that's a mega while also being lucky in the right place at the right time..,👍

Meanwhile at Prospect, Blue continues on Prospect Lake with a drake Blue winged Teal seen tucked in on Duck Islands east shore on southeast Prospect Lake.

The Red throated loon continues on prospect lake.

Prospects neighbor Greenwood Cemetery top high light was an American Woodcock feeding, picking out worms inside the 4th avenue entrance:thats a bonus! A Black Vultures is another highlight ,a flyover. Flagged first of year Green Heron and Northern rough winged swallow at Sylvan Water and the long continuing red head woodpecker at Hemlock and Battle avenues are worth pursuits.
