- Comments: "Happened to pass by the cemetery entrance with DL (who'd never seen one) while doing non-bird stuff and figured this bird would probably be in the same place, and indeed it was. Snapped into the same vertical alert posture it was in when I saw it earlier, so we observed it briefly from a bit down the hill and used a tree and some brush as partial cover. Digibin photo."

- Comments: "**scarce migrant rarely seen in NYC but clearly moving through the region now with a flurry of reports in the last couple of days. Michael pointed out that they seem to appear "on the ground" in Brooklyn during this time on rainy, overcast mornings. (Though one must presume most of them are landing in the vast seas of phrags out in Gateway, Staten Island, etc - and are never found) As the bird was perched up in a tree in an alert posture we viewed it fairly briefly from behind a hill rise. (Not making intense eye contact and standing quartered to the bird instead of facing it dead on will also put a bird at ease - try it) photos"
