Some birders may want to look for tropical birds along the river from brooklyn or nyc piers.. But if mass transit shuts down, tough to get back....and floods, fallen power lines,etc
Anyway , be safe and stay indoors , and away from parks even the few days after as sometimes weakened trees can fall , even a week later from soggy roots and heavy trees....( i know, we get tempeted as to what might have blown in on Prospect Lake....)
I say , it's a crazy looking storm, like it's hitting pinball posts: a real hard left , then hard right.....weathermen say they never seen this before...only happen a few times the last 200 years...
