Two MOURNING WARBLERs were reported this morning at opposite ends of Prospect Park. Singing away, as usually this skulker species does signalling its presence.
MOURNING #1 was the first report at 6:31 by Ed Crowne on Lookout Hills south slope thickly dense switchback trail by the Maryland Monument. MOURNING #2 reported 6:56 by Keir is at the BBC Centennial garden on the right rise as one enters the Vale Cashmere from the south with the rustic Zucker Playground as the backdrop.
Good luck finding this secretive species..if you cannot see it,don't mourn there will be other birds.
