A photo of a WESTERN TANAGER female was taken and sent to the Facebook Birders ID Group and forwarded to the NY Birders group ,latter I subscribe too,taken by Marvin Baptiste. It shows the rare tanager in the water.
From the photo its a summer plumage female pale form. Or more typically non breeding plumage.
This was the bird spotted by brooklyn birding maestros Rob Jett and Shane Blodgett
Last Tuesday in the Vale Cashmere
