Hi Peter,
I was trying to chase Tripper's Western Tanager in the park this evening, and more than an hour after he tweeted that bird I found a Summer Tanager instead, in more or less the exact spot Tripper had found the Western. My eBird checklist is below - like his western cousin, the bird did not stick around long at all.
