not what we expected

With the exception of a new warbler species for the spring, there was no dam burst today. From birders I met in the field, what the southwest winds bring in was a mass of warm air.

The only new warbler species was NORTHERN PARULA. With five other species from the week, today's Parula was spotted in the north Lullwater by Ed C, Richard P , Ryan G and one other whose name Ive forgotten thanks to a very busy workday and unwanted heat . A hot day more like June, the crazy up and down temperatures plays havoc with birds. There was reported LOUISIANA , PINE , BLACK & WHITE (obs Jen Kelper in the Ambergill), Palm i think that makes 6 species warblers reported.

Another warm day that might be productive Saturday. Try your luck.
