Sometimes I dabbled in star watching besides birding though not so passionately with the former ( its the city life ! ;) ). Its a rare event to hear of a comet when it comes around. The long awaited comet is called Pan Starrs visible in our hemisphere low in the western sky March7 th to March 20th. You might be able to see it despite bright city lites. see the links below for more info.
