March 30th Prospect inc BBC walk

Results of Brooklyn Bird Club walk in Prospect , led by Tom Stephenson

Hi Peter,

We had a great group this morning, with 20+ people on a great sunny day.

It's interesting to see that the movements of migration are in effect even this early in the season, as many of the birds we saw on Tuesday were gone and overall the park was much slower.

However we were able to eventually find 50 species, with highlights including Pine and Yellow-rumped Warbler, Golden-crowned Kinglet, singing Fox Sparrow, nice Wood Duck pair, good looks at female Common Merganser, Ring-necked Duck, 6+ Tree Swallows, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Brown Creeper and more.

Here's the list.
See you at the warbler ID talk on Thursday.

Best regards,
Tom
