3 Sisters Hoodies

Three drake HOODED MERGANSERS added some spice to the dreary morning, occupying their little niche at Three Sisters Islands. I guess one island for each. The trio kept mostly to the shore facing north, alighting at one time on a branch sticking out of the water in the strait.

Some other news. Gus Keri reported the continuing RINGNECKED DUCK also at THree Sisters, but along the western island.  And I expected, a single FOX SPARROW at the feeders according to Gus. When I went , I didnt see that sparrow but there are plenty of House Sparrows.. ( Ok guys go easy eating the seed this winter)
