Three SNOW GEESE continues on the Upper Pool back shoreline. Two juveniles along with an adult standing placidly at that spot. IN the foreground, I saw at least 4 WOOD DUCKS next to the island. At least by my estimate 200 Canada Geese accompanied both species in the crowded pool.
Prospect Lake basically froze over. Despite that, this is a good time to check out the gulls. Many days it will be the usual but on rare occasions there might be an opportunity for a rare one. I scanned briefly with my bins but a scope is better , of that I don't bring to work.There were at least 600 gulls towards the Peninsula side. Unfortunately the bright low sun is a hindrance looking out that way.
