The prelude to the upcoming cold front included today's sighting of CONNECTICUT WARBLER in Greenwood Cemetery and a few goodies in Prospect Park per Tom Stephenson's BBC walk.
First with the CONNECTICUT WARBLER in Greenwood , seen at the Dellwater. Danielle Gustafson in the mid afternoon reported a single bird devouring moths in or under a cherry tree near the beehives.
Meanwhile on Tom's walk , a rare water bird along with the walk offerings; a young GREAT CORMORANT tops Tom's list, the water bird seen In the southwest corner of Prospect Lake, likely at West Island. Earlier on Lookout Hill, Tom reported YELLOW BILLED CUCKOO, likely a carryover from yesterday's sighting over the mulch trail from north Butterfly Meadow by Mike Yuan, OLIVE SIDED FLYCATCHER, BLACKPOLL WARBLER, NORTHERN PARULA and BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER.
