Clarifying Will Pollard's late morning sighting, the rare former warbler was spotted in the east grove that is overshadowed by the giant Redwood tree , mere steps away form the Lake drain at Prospect Lake south shore.
Other news : the Peninsula was good this morning with multiple Black throated Green and a single Blackburnian Warblers according to a passing birder. In fall, I always hear or personally seen the Peninsula as a great spot , a mini-trap land feature for migratory birds. Sometimes even the late afternoon is still good under the right conditions.
