Dear Peter,
I'm a frequent reader of your blog, and wondered if you might be interested in spreading word about NYC's potential bird-friendly glass bill, Int. 1482. The Committee on Housing and Buildings has scheduled a hearing on the bill -- it's at 10 AM on Tues., September 10, at City Hall, and it would be great to have people come and testify in support of the bill. Molly Adams (who says hello) mentioned that one could probably count on about two minutes' speaking time, and should bring twenty or so copies of one's written testimony, for absent council members.
(The bill's text is up at https://legistar.council.nyc.gov/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=3903501&GUID=21B44B73-D7E1-4C55-83BD-1CA254531416&Options=&Search=.)
It would also be good for people to call/email/write their council member in support of Int. 1482; members and their contact info can be found at https://council.nyc.gov/districts/
Sincerely,
Calista
