Friday good for a hybrid

Today didn't seem like a massed mivementy, more so with scattered single sightings. But one can get excited for a warbler hybrid.

The Falkill Falls has been pretty decent for birding of late and today's Lawrence's Warbler is an exceptional sighting. Eleanor R. found the bird at noon and her photo showed a Golden winged warbler with yellowish breast not white. This hybrid is a product of two Brewsters warblers that is borne of Golden winged and Blue winged warblers ( as I understand it,A backcross recessive genetic mating).Anyway it's a beauty.

The rare Lawrence's was last reported in the big oak on the south side of the wooden Falk kill bridge.
