- Reported Mar 15, 2017 12:15 by Pat Palladino
- Prospect Park, Kings, New York
- Map:,-73.9689534&ll=40.6602841,-73.9689534
- Checklist:
- Media: 3 Photos
- Comments: "First observed when all the feeder birds scattered to safety. The Goshawk flew in and landed atop a tree just north of the bridge along the east side of the stream. The bird relocated to the west side of the stream and then flew off. About ten minutes later it put up all the waterfowl on the east side of the lake as it chased its lunch along the lake and above the peninsula. Large bulky brown accipter with broad wings and a long tail. Pale supercilium and heavy teardrop shaped streaks extending down to the belly further than normal for a Cooper's Hawk. Photos."
