The back water of the Lower Pool has all the ingredients of habitat that attracts Rusty Blackbirds. And that's what I got after work.
Hoping to get some Warblers,I eventually arrived at the Lower Pool gate. A few minutes waiting, two birds winged in. It's a pair of RUSTY BLACKBIRDS. I admired their dull color, particularly the female more brown black than her partner. Both birds walked along, flipping over wet leaves while getting closer to me. While watching the Blackbirds, a single GOLDEN CROWNED KINGLET alighted on the thin leaf shrub.
There's a report from Russ Alderson seeing Black & White Warbler on the big fallen tree there.
Warm weather coming Friday thru the weekend. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS. 😊
