Rarities today in prospect park

Tuesday was a good day in prospect.

The Least bittern continues to delight birders coming on droves to view this reclusive bird. Look into the pagan notes along the dirt trail on the Peninsula just southeast of the Wellhouse.

Racka found an usual spring overshoot Prothonotary warbler. First found at Binnen Pool at east Netrmead, the golden bird drifted down Binnen Run towards Lily Pool ,refound behind the Pagoda stage. It'll likely stick around at the back shore of Lily Pool where possibly the new rustic trail offers good potential seeing it.

Possibly a second Prothonotary was reported in the Lull water near the Terrace Bridge; or it xpuls be a fast bird from Binnen Run.

Continuing the rarity parade, both Yellow throated Warbler and Lark Sparrow were reported by Rob Bate. The warbler was on or near the western island of Three Sisters at midpoint south shore Prospect Lake; the Lark Sparrow a drab individual - was in the south lake shore across from and in line with the Peninsula Thumb;a Field Sparrow hung near the Lark.

At Long Meadow south of Picnic House, two Vesper Sparrows surfaced, spotted by Tripper Paul.It sounds like along the south margin woodland edges of Long meadow.
