Monday Sparrow diversity

Monday seemed like a quiet day but here and there in Prospect there was reported diversity of sparrows.

Without naming them, Ryan Goldberg in the afternoon reported 10 species sparrows mostly along the ballfields to the Tennis House area. Tops was the continuing VESPER SPARROW at Ballfield three. Joining him on my sparrow jaunt list, I found a FIELD SPARROW in front of the Breeze hill feeders location lawn ( No feeders up yet). Karen Ohearn saw a LINCOLN SPARROW at the base of the Hammerhead at southwest Prospect Lake.

Before running into Karen and Chris Las on Well Drive, both saw the continuing WILSONS WARBLER on Lookout Hill south slope behind the three shipping containers at Well Drive opposite the boat ramp.

Over at Greenwood Cemetery, Orrin reported an AMERICAN WOODCOCK on Dell Avenue. He also reported 3 WOOD DUCKS on Sylvan Water and a late female BLACK THROATED BLUE WARBLER.

This is my rush hour report for Monday morning :)
