hey birders,
the parks dept wants to hold a big sit at Shirley Chisholm park on sunday oct 10th and has reached out to the bbc and fbc to co-host. this is the day after fall WMBD and the event will be dawn to dusk. what they would like is to have some experienced members on hand throughout the day to help participants with bird ID. they are asking for volunteer leaders to cover two hour blocks of time throughout the day to ensure there is someone on hand with the bird skills at all times (or more if you want). if this is something you would be interested in doing or if you would just like to attend let me know. i dont have all the details yet but i will soon. feel free to pass this along to anyone you think might be interested.
