The birders of Prospect benefited greatly when regular bbc member Eni Falci advised Owen and Erin Markman to report the bird on Ebird. Thereby Chris Elliot picked up the ebird alert and tweeted it. Hence retweeted and the rest is history. Much credit too to Nina Bai finding the bittern again after it moved from the compost yard adjacent to the zoo.
Good bird, a mega as very few recs are reported of least bittern. And yesterday heydi lopes reported American Bittern flyover over center drive. All of a sudden,bitterns all ovrr the place? Not for another 100 years..kb note : eni and vinnie falci helped identify the species for the record aware of its megastar status.
