- Comments: "Thank you, Kathy! I followed Kathy's lead that the bird had just flown off toward the Quaker Cemetery and was lucky enough to  see it fly right overhead, back toward Lookout hill. Red-tail sized accipiter with tapered wings & long tail . Found it perched on a tree halfway up the steps by Maryland Monument, and was able to observe heavy streaking on the chest and belly (much more than a red-tailed belly band). When it took off toward the lake I got a look at the bands on the tail and underwing pattern. Juv red-shouldered ruled out based on tapering of wings and stronger underwing pattern. Terrible iPhone photo."
